EPILOGUE

This trip has been, by far, one of the most awe-inspiring trips I've ever made. What is so remarkable about it is that within a relatively short distance, I was able to travel into the past and present of Peru.

In Cusco and Macchu I was exposed to the history of an extraordinary civilization and I feel lucky that the remains of their existence still exist for us to see.

In Lake Titicaca I traversed to a present that seems unreal and, in a certain way, so enviable.

On the 9th day we landed in Lima, with me carrying memories of an unforgettable journey.

  2. A most remarkable journey of a country that has so much variety to offer, and that seems so hospitable in spite the fact that people really don't have a lot of money or belongings. And you describe it so well! The little village with only a few hundred people must make a sharp contrast to the big city of Lima. I hope they solve the problems of Lake Titicaca. After all, it is the cradle of the Incas, if the fairytale is to be believed. The Incas really left their fingerprint on the earth. Beautiful pictures Iris! Thank you for sharing! Bente, Norway.
